At Forestal Sylvis, we aim to generate wealth, not just profit. Established in 2009, we are a certified B Corporation committed to developing creative and sustainable forestry and agricultural solutions that deliver economic, social, and environmental value. Our shareholders advocate for sustainable development, a philosophy evidenced by over 30 years of involvement as founders and board members of the Fundación Moisés Bertoni and the Mbaracayú Natural Forest Reserve.
Our Story
Forestal Sylvis was founded by Raúl Gauto and Eduardo Gustale, combining extensive expertise in forestry, law, and environmental development. What began as a vision to restore underutilized land has evolved into a professional, large-scale operation that creates rural employment, captures carbon, and meets the growing global demand for timber—all from the heart of Paraguay.
Triple Impact: Economic, Social, and Environmental
Economic
We deliver stable, long-term returns through high-yield eucalyptus plantations, increasing land value and supplying quality timber to trusted industrial partners.
Social
A 100-hectare plantation provides direct employment to 10 families for three years, training them in specialized trades. We also engage with local communities through the Poverty Stoplight methodology and other initiatives.
Environmental
We work to improve water, air, and soil quality, combat climate change, enhance recreational spaces, and transform underdeveloped areas (such as pastures and former soybean plantations) into green spaces.
