A Step Forward for Sustainable Forestry Investment in Paraguay: EU-Paraguay Investment Forum

Forestal Sylvis participated in the 2025 EU–Paraguay Investment Forum as one of the selected projects representing sustainable investment opportunities in the country. Over the course of two days at the Central Bank of Paraguay, we engaged with fund managers, international institutions, and local actors across the public and private sectors.

The forum came at a key moment. After months of structuring new investment vehicles and refining our business model, we were ready to present clear, actionable opportunities. The forum created the right setting to put those plans into motion.

During the investment pitch session, we presented three of our current opportunities:

  • Virtuoso: our flagship initiative, integrating 6,000 hectares of eucalyptus plantations with a plywood processing facility. The project is designed as a 40-year investment cycle and follows global ESG and certification standards, including FSC and Verra (pending).
  • Forestry Trust I: a silvopastoral reforestation project under a regulated trust structure (fideicomiso), located near our industrial anchor in Caazapá.
  • Privately Owned Land: a ready-to-deploy silvopastoral forestry project with secured land and strong productivity potential.

We’re grateful to REDIEX, the European Union Delegation, and all organizing institutions for convening a forum that puts sustainable, long-term capital at the center of Paraguay’s development strategy.

We also thank the President of the Republic for visiting our project display and offering a warm, thoughtful exchange during his visit.

For Forestal Sylvis, this was a meaningful milestone in our path to scale.
